[爱你] At OUE REIT, we believe in creating meaningful impact not just in the communities we serve, but also within our own team.
During our company retreat in Bangkok this August, colleagues from various departments formed teams and assembled bikes together for underprivileged children. These bikes will significantly reduce the children’s commute time between school and home, bringing them one step closer to their journey to success.
Closer to home, we continued our efforts by volunteering at Willing Hearts this month, a soup kitchen non-profit organisation established in 2003. Aiming to prepare and deliver 10,000 meals a day to the underprivileged in Singapore, our team helped with various meal preparation tasks. We were also inspired by the group of long-term volunteers at Willing Hearts (many of whom are well pass retirement age). Their dedication and passion for helping others sparked meaningful conversations about community support and the importance of compassion.
Beyond the impact on the community, these volunteering activities provided unique opportunities for colleagues to bond, collaborate, and understand one another in ways that regular workdays rarely allow. These shared values and experiences have strengthened our teamwork and foster a more connected and supportive work environment at OUE REIT.
