And analysts think the stocks could make investors a lot of money, too.

No one knows for sure how any given stock will perform in the future. That's true even of the highly paid analysts on Wall Street.

However, when those analysts like stocks of companies that are generating hefty profits and have tremendous growth prospects, it's worth paying attention. Here are three highly profitable stocks that Wall Street thinks can soar 49% to 79% over the next 12 months.

1. Moderna

Moderna is no longer the high-flyer that it was in 2020 and 2021. But Wall Street analysts think that the vaccine stock has an upside potential of 83% over the next 12 months.

Some might be skeptical about this bullish outlook for Moderna. After all, COVID-19 cases are declining in the U.S. Even Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel believes that we could be nearing the end of the pandemic.

However, the coronavirus won't go away. Moderna's COVID-19 vaccines should continue to enjoy solid demand. And the company is generating enormous profits -- $7.3 billion in the first nine months of 2021. It's pouring much of this cash into research and development.

Moderna is developing combination vaccines for providing protection against multiple respiratory viruses, including COVID-19, flu, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). That's a strategy that could pay off handsomely for Moderna. Its pipeline programs target other viruses plus autoimmune diseases, cancer, and more.

With the company's huge opportunity and a more attractive valuation thanks to the sell-off in recent months, it could very well be time to buy Moderna again.

2. MercadoLibre

MercadoLibre has lost half of its market cap over the past six months. The stock hasn't lost its luster on Wall Street, though. The consensus estimate for MercadoLibre is that its shares could soar 90% over the next 12 months.

Analysts could be overly optimistic about MercadoLibre's near-term prospects if the stock market underperforms. It's hard for any stock to overcome a dismal overall environment. However, MercadoLibre's chances of delivering spectacular gains over the long run appear to be very good.

The company ranks as the indisputable leader in Latin American e-commerce, generating $417.4 million in profits during the first three quarters of 2021. This is a market that could nearly double within the next four years, according to Morgan Stanley.

MercadoLibre also has other growth opportunities in digital payments and logistics services. In particular, the company's Mercado Pago fintech products continue to pick up strong momentum. Many individuals in Latin America don't use traditional banking services, giving MercadoLibre a big potential growth market.

3. PayPal Holdings

There's also another fintech stock that Wall Street really likes --PayPal Holdings. The consensus price target for the stock reflects an 80% upside potential.

However, it's important to understand the context. PayPal is intentionally shifting its focus from increasing the number of users to boosting revenue per active account. If the company's efforts are successful, this should lead to even higher profits over the coming years.

Like Moderna and MercadoLibre, PayPal should have massive long-term growth prospects. The company directly benefits from the increased adoption of e-commerce. It's rolling out QR code functionality in an increasing number of retailers that bodes well for future brick-and-mortar commerce profits as well. And PayPal's Venmo mobile wallet still has plenty of room to run.

Investors haven't been loving PayPal lately, though. Its shares have plunged 66% from last year's high even with the company posting nearly $4.2 billion in profits for 2021. One key reason behind this decline is that PayPal expects its user growth will slow.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Highly Profitable Stocks to Buy That Wall Street Thinks Can Soar 80% to 90%
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Highly Profitable Stocks to Buy That Wall Street Thinks Can Soar 80% to 90%\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-02-21 19:23 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
KEY POINTSModerna is using its COVID-19 vaccine cash to invest in a promising pipeline.MercadoLibre has tremendous growth opportunities in the Latin American e-commerce and fintech markets.PayPal is ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"PYPL":"PayPal","MRNA":"Moderna, Inc.","MELI":"MercadoLibre"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2022/02/21/3-highly-profitable-stocks-to-buy-that-wall-street/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1151523488","content_text":"KEY POINTSModerna is using its COVID-19 vaccine cash to invest in a promising pipeline.MercadoLibre has tremendous growth opportunities in the Latin American e-commerce and fintech markets.PayPal is shifting its focus to maximizing revenue per user, a strategy that could pay off nicely.Their businesses continue to make lots of money. The stock has declined since relisting on Nasdaq earlier this month, but is still well above the low levels where it was trading earlier in the pandemic, when Hertzwarned shareholderstheir holdings might go to zero.
\n
The company said that the new buyback program’s first phase will include $200 million of repurchases that were already authorized as part of the relisting.
\n
The rest of the $2 billion program would follow completion of a deal for Hertz to buy back all of its Series A preferred shares. Those shares, mostly owned byApollo Global ManagementInc.,a private-equity firm, were issued as part of efforts to rescue Hertz from bankruptcy as the coronavirus pandemic pummeled its business. Preferred shares give owners priority for dividend payments over owners of common stock.
\n
As travel has rebounded, Hertz has found sounder footing in recent months, with greater revenue and a return to profitability. Its path through the past two years has traced markets’ unpredictable swings from pessimism to optimism and back again as the pandemic delivered investors a steady stream of surprises.
\n
The car-rental firm entered the pandemic bearing high levels of debt. The sudden drop in travel and an initial fall in used-car values during the spring of 2020 led Hertz to file forbankruptcy in May 2020. Shares fell to a session low of 56 cents last spring before individual traders started piling in, buying Hertz stock even though it temporarily appeared that a restructuring could wipe out equity owners.
\n
The New York Stock Exchange suspended trading of Hertz shares last year after the bankruptcy filing, although the stock continued to change hands in over-the-counter markets.
\n
This year, as vaccines and abating pandemic conditions boosted travel demand, the company’sperformance improved. Revenue was $1.91 billion in the September-ended quarter, more than double Hertz’s results for the same period in 2020. Its profit was $605 million, compared with a year-earlier loss.
\n
As that recovery was taking shape, institutional investors led by Apollo, Knighthead Capital Management LLC and Certares Management LLC organized a restructuring deal in May 2021 that brought Hertz out of bankruptcy while keeping shareholders in the money.
\n
Many individual investors who bought shares near their lowsrecorded outsize gains. The stock has declined since relisting on Nasdaq earlier this month, but is still well above the low levels where it was trading earlier in the pandemic, when Hertzwarned shareholderstheir holdings might go to zero.\nThe company said that the new buyback program’s first phase will include $200 million of repurchases that were already authorized as part of the relisting.\nThe rest of the $2 billion program would follow completion of a deal for Hertz to buy back all of its Series A preferred shares. Those shares, mostly owned byApollo Global ManagementInc.,a private-equity firm, were issued as part of efforts to rescue Hertz from bankruptcy as the coronavirus pandemic pummeled its business. Preferred shares give owners priority for dividend payments over owners of common stock.\nAs travel has rebounded, Hertz has found sounder footing in recent months, with greater revenue and a return to profitability. Its path through the past two years has traced markets’ unpredictable swings from pessimism to optimism and back again as the pandemic delivered investors a steady stream of surprises.\nThe car-rental firm entered the pandemic bearing high levels of debt. The sudden drop in travel and an initial fall in used-car values during the spring of 2020 led Hertz to file forbankruptcy in May 2020. Shares fell to a session low of 56 cents last spring before individual traders started piling in, buying Hertz stock even though it temporarily appeared that a restructuring could wipe out equity owners.\nThe New York Stock Exchange suspended trading of Hertz shares last year after the bankruptcy filing, although the stock continued to change hands in over-the-counter markets.\nThis year, as vaccines and abating pandemic conditions boosted travel demand, the company’sperformance improved. Revenue was $1.91 billion in the September-ended quarter, more than double Hertz’s results for the same period in 2020. Its profit was $605 million, compared with a year-earlier loss.\nAs that recovery was taking shape, institutional investors led by Apollo, Knighthead Capital Management LLC and Certares Management LLC organized a restructuring deal in May 2021 that brought Hertz out of bankruptcy while keeping shareholders in the money.\nMany individual investors who bought shares near their lowsrecorded outsize gains. With Hertz’s plan to buy backApollo’s preferred shares, the private-equity firm stood to notch a 70% annualized return on its role in the restructuring.\nNew buybacks for common shareholders could add to returns for individual investors and other owners of Hertz shares. Buybacks boost stocks’ value because they remove shares from circulation, leaving remaining shareholders entitled to a larger portion of future profits.\nHertzlisted on the Nasdaqearlier this month, debuting at $29 a share, but its stock has mostly edged lower since.\nIn the past few days, concerns about thenew Omicron variantof Covid-19 have raised questions about the travel sector’s recovery, with countries adding new restrictions on some international travel to try to keep the strain at bay.\nHertz’s buyback plans come alongside a splashy effort by the company to invest in its fleet of rental cars by addingmore electric vehicles. Last month, Hertz said it had ordered 100,000 cars fromTeslaInc.,although recent back-and-forth between the companies has left it unclear how soon Hertz can expect to receive the cars.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1048,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":875421045,"gmtCreate":1637680015837,"gmtModify":1637680015933,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582588942531560","authorIdStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Best","listText":"Best","text":"Best","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/875421045","repostId":"1156228294","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1156228294","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1637679908,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1156228294?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-11-23 23:05","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Aptevo Stock Rallies After Posting First Complete Remission In Early Acute Myeloid Leukemia Trial","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1156228294","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Aptevo Therapeutics Inc has announced a clinical update for its Phase 1b Expansion trial evaluating ","content":"
\n
Aptevo Therapeutics Inc has announced a clinical update for its Phase 1b Expansion trial evaluating APVO436 for acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
\n
\n
\n
A high-risk AML patient treated in Cohort 1 with a combination of chemotherapy plus APVO436 achieved a complete remission (CR) after one cycle of therapy.
\n
The chemotherapy regimen included the standard leukemia drugs Mitoxantrone, Etoposide, and Cytarabine.
\n
The patient tolerated treatment without evidence of over toxicity.
\n
Overexpression of CD123 is the hallmark of many forms of leukemia. Change is never easy. For many more, it was an exciting time, as the Internet was unlocking a new world of possibilities.
\n
But… for investors… it was an opportunity.
\n
Specifically, it was a once-in-a-decade opportunity to invest early in emerging titans of the internet industry. Like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN)… when it was a $438 million company in 1997…
\n
It’s a $1.8 TRILLION company today – representing a whopping 365,000%-plus return.
\n
That means a mere $1,000 investment in Amazon in 1997 would be worth more than $3.6 million today.
\n
Need I say more?
\n
Where there’s disruption, there’s opportunity – and the bigger the disruption, the bigger the opportunity.
\n
Right now, we are on the cusp of an enormous disruption as big as the internet… and that’s the shift toward electric vehicles.
\n
Long story short, the world’s transportation network is rapidly being electrified. This change is nothing new. Electric cars have been around for over a decade. So far, they’ve made a dent in the market. It looks like in 2021 that electric vehicles (EVs) will account for about 10% of all new car sales.
\n
That’s a sizable number. But nothing huge considering, again, EVs have been around for a decade.
\n
According to our modeling, though, that 10% number is about to jump to 80% over the next two decades, implying jaw-dropping EV volume growth of ~2,000% over the next 20 years, as multiple game-changing trends converge to set the stage for EVs to finally takeover the world.
\n
Simply consider:
\n
The demand is shifting. Today’s consumers are more aware than ever before of climate change, and are increasingly aligning their purchasing decisions to “go green.” As a result, over 60% of prospective car buyers in the U.S. today want an EV – and that number is going up every single year.
\n
The laws are changing. Governments are also more aware than ever before of climate change, and are increasingly enacting legislature to promote adoption of “green” technologies. More than 200 cities and counties across the world have a “100% clean energy” target for 2030, 2040, or 2050 – while districts on the cutting edge of green tech (like California and New Jersey) are outright banning gas car sales after 2035.
\n
The tech is improving. EVs used to be significantly limited by driving range. Thanks to major technological improvements on the battery front, that’s no longer true. The average range of an EV has increased 140% since 2011, with a fully-charged EV now getting as much range as a gas car at 300-plus miles (and some EVs even fetching over 500 miles of range). Even further, gas cars aren’t increasing their driving ranges. EVs are, and rapidly – so by 2030, EVs will be able to drive significantly farther than gas cars.
\n
The costs are falling. EVs also used to be significantly limited by costs. That is, they have traditionally been far more expensive than gas cars. Again, though, this is no longer the case. Average EV prices have dropped 70% since 2010, and are now largely on par with gas cars. Economies of scale and technological improvements will unlock further cost reductions, and by 2030, EVs will be substantially cheaper than gas cars.
\n
The supply is pivoting. For years, auto industry incumbents were asleep at the wheel when it came to the EV revolution. Not anymore. Every major automaker in the world – from Ford to GM to Bentley – is making all-out blitz into the EV category, in what will amount to an unprecedented surge in EV supply over the next decade.
\n
The future couldn’t be any clearer.
\n
EVs are on the cusp of fundamentally disrupting the entire multi-trillion-dollar auto market.
\n
It’s one of the biggest disruptions we have ever seen in the past 50 years – and, by extension, it’s one of the biggest investment opportunities we have ever seen in the past 50 years, too.
\n
The right investments in the EV sector will score investors 10X, 20X, even 30X returns over the next few years.
\n
Note the emphasis above…
\n
The right investments.
\n
That’s the thing about disruptive megatrends. It’s not about just finding the right megatrend to invest in, but finding the right companies within that megatrend to invest in.
\n
Some might argue that the internet runs counter to this. But, although the internet did turn into a globally ubiquitous, multi-trillion-dollar industry, you couldn’t just point, click, and buy the first internet startup you saw — most internet startups in the 1990s went under. Remember Pets.com? Or eToys.com? Or Boo.com? What about Webvan?
\n
Yeah, there’s a reason you don’t. All failures. Only a handful of 1990s internet startups actually turned into enormous long-term winners, like Amazon.
\n
The same will be true about the electric vehicle space.
\n
It will turn into a globally ubiquitous, multi-trillion-dollar industry by 2030. But there are a lot of EV startups today, and the reality is that most of them will fail.
\n
Only a handful will succeed – but those that do, will generate Amazon-like returns.
\n
Unfortunately, most people don’t have time to spend countless hours researching arcane subjects that might lead to potentially profitable investments. That’s what we’re here for: to help you identify the right investments in the EV megatrend.
\n
In our flagship investment research advisory Innovation Investor, we have scoured through the entire EV market, analyzed nearly every company in this space, and identified the best investment opportunities to capitalize on the enormous shift toward electric vehicles.
\n
Some of them are EV makers. Some of them are battery companies. Some of them are charging companies. The common denominator? They’re all disruptive innovators.
\n
We’re talking companies that could be the next Tesla – or bigger.
\n
The research is already finished. The buy calls have already been made. Shares of the leading coffee player peaked at nearly $100 ahead of the pandemic and after an initial move lower, shares have seen a very steady recovery as they currently trade at $113 per share, just 5% from recent and all-time-highs.
\n
While 2021 is set to match 2019 in terms of the earnings power and growth has returned in a convincing way, I still think that despite the undisputed quality of the franchise, valuations are too high to see any appeal here.
\n
Pandemic - A Hit, And Savior
\n
Starbucks was early to recognize the impact of the pandemic as it has sizeable Chinese operations of course, and with the pandemic breaking out a few months earlier than was the case in the US and Europe, the impact was early felt.
\n
Starbucks's second quarter fiscal results, corresponding to the first quarter of the calendar year of 2020, saw sales fall 5%. The third quarter results showed the real impact of the pandemic with sales down 38% as no amount of cost control was able to maintain profitability, as the company posted a sizeable, yet at the same time very manageable loss on the back of the very challenging conditions at the time.
\n
On the back of the summer reopening in many Western nations last year, revenues recovered in a big way, down just 8% in the final quarter of the fiscal year. After the dismal second quarter results, full year revenues were down 11% to $19.2 billion, yet earnings took a far larger beating with operating earnings down more than 60%, to just over $1.5 billion.
\n
In fact, almost all the absolute decline in revenues translated into a one-on-one impact on the operating income line amidst higher restructuring costs, stable, or slightly increasing depreciation charges, and store expenses up a bit amidst the many modifications and safety measures taken.
\n
Net debt stood at $11.5 billion by the end of the fiscal year. That is quite a bit after the company posted adjusted EBITDA of around $6.0 billion in the fiscal year of 2019, but the EBITDA number came in much closer to $3.5 billion.
\n
By the time these results were announced back in October of last year, shares had rebounded to the high-eighties already, which translated both into a high earnings multiple based on the adjusted profits of $1.17 per share, and even on the adjusted earnings of $2.83 per share a year earlier. Even based on the 2019 earnings, shares traded at a 30 times multiple.
\n
A Big Recovery
\n
At the start of 2021 the company posted first quarter results for its fiscal year with sales down more than 6% as the company was not yet lapping the impact of the pandemic. The company reiterated the full year guidance, calling for sales at a midpoint of $28.5 billion with earnings seen at a midpoint of $2.80 per share, although the fact that this calendar year counts 53 weeks, makes that the guidance assumes a ten cent boost from that fact.
\n
The second quarter results revealed 8% revenue growth, which is quite comforting as Western economies were gradually opening up again. Moreover, this is not the case of easily comparisons, as second quarter revenues were down just 5% in the second quarter of 2020, so we actually see growth now vs the quarterly period in 2019. On the back of the solid results, the company has hiked the full year sales guidance to a midpoint of $28.9 billion. Moreover, the midpoint of the earnings guidance has been hiked by fifteen cents to $2.95 per share.
\n
Net debt is down to roughly $10 billion after these relatively softer first two quarters of the year. With net earnings seen at around $3.5 billion this year, and after adding back approximately $1.5 billion in depreciation expenses, as well as a few hundred million in interest and taxes, EBITDA should match or surpass the $6 billion EBITDA number from 2019. In that sense, leverage is very modest, and certainly no concern.
\n
Based on the current share price of $113 per share, valuations come in around 38 times earnings seen this year. However, the earnings rate based on the second half of the year is seen around $2 per share, which might imply potential for earnings to jump towards $4 per share next year. Shares of the leading coffee player peaked at nearly $100 ahead of the pandemic and after an initial move lower, shares have seen a very steady recovery as they currently trade at $113 per share, just 5% from recent and all-time-highs.\nWhile 2021 is set to match 2019 in terms of the earnings power and growth has returned in a convincing way, I still think that despite the undisputed quality of the franchise, valuations are too high to see any appeal here.\nPandemic - A Hit, And Savior\nStarbucks was early to recognize the impact of the pandemic as it has sizeable Chinese operations of course, and with the pandemic breaking out a few months earlier than was the case in the US and Europe, the impact was early felt.\nStarbucks's second quarter fiscal results, corresponding to the first quarter of the calendar year of 2020, saw sales fall 5%. The third quarter results showed the real impact of the pandemic with sales down 38% as no amount of cost control was able to maintain profitability, as the company posted a sizeable, yet at the same time very manageable loss on the back of the very challenging conditions at the time.\nOn the back of the summer reopening in many Western nations last year, revenues recovered in a big way, down just 8% in the final quarter of the fiscal year. After the dismal second quarter results, full year revenues were down 11% to $19.2 billion, yet earnings took a far larger beating with operating earnings down more than 60%, to just over $1.5 billion.\nIn fact, almost all the absolute decline in revenues translated into a one-on-one impact on the operating income line amidst higher restructuring costs, stable, or slightly increasing depreciation charges, and store expenses up a bit amidst the many modifications and safety measures taken.\nNet debt stood at $11.5 billion by the end of the fiscal year. That is quite a bit after the company posted adjusted EBITDA of around $6.0 billion in the fiscal year of 2019, but the EBITDA number came in much closer to $3.5 billion.\nBy the time these results were announced back in October of last year, shares had rebounded to the high-eighties already, which translated both into a high earnings multiple based on the adjusted profits of $1.17 per share, and even on the adjusted earnings of $2.83 per share a year earlier. Even based on the 2019 earnings, shares traded at a 30 times multiple.\nA Big Recovery\nAt the start of 2021 the company posted first quarter results for its fiscal year with sales down more than 6% as the company was not yet lapping the impact of the pandemic. The company reiterated the full year guidance, calling for sales at a midpoint of $28.5 billion with earnings seen at a midpoint of $2.80 per share, although the fact that this calendar year counts 53 weeks, makes that the guidance assumes a ten cent boost from that fact.\nThe second quarter results revealed 8% revenue growth, which is quite comforting as Western economies were gradually opening up again. Moreover, the midpoint of the earnings guidance has been hiked by fifteen cents to $2.95 per share.\nNet debt is down to roughly $10 billion after these relatively softer first two quarters of the year. With net earnings seen at around $3.5 billion this year, and after adding back approximately $1.5 billion in depreciation expenses, as well as a few hundred million in interest and taxes, EBITDA should match or surpass the $6 billion EBITDA number from 2019. In that sense, leverage is very modest, and certainly no concern.\nBased on the current share price of $113 per share, valuations come in around 38 times earnings seen this year. However, the earnings rate based on the second half of the year is seen around $2 per share, which might imply potential for earnings to jump towards $4 per share next year. Such earnings power reduces expectations to 28 times forward earnings. Based on that number, the multiple is still elevated, as I realize that it will take a year before this might be realized.\nI guess the reasons mentioned above are likely the considerations why Mr. Ackman from Pershing Square sold out of the stock earlier this year. While the $3 earnings per share number for this year is conformed, and there is a real roadmap for earnings of $4 per share next year if the pandemic fades, I fail to see real triggers from here.\nBased on such earnings power I think that valuations certainly look full here, too full for me to see appeal, although I have no doubts whatsoever on the quality and long term potential of this very high quality franchise.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":584,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":167265956,"gmtCreate":1624271641175,"gmtModify":1631890337311,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582588942531560","authorIdStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/167265956","repostId":"1163637887","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":245,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":167262238,"gmtCreate":1624271613024,"gmtModify":1631890337316,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582588942531560","authorIdStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Sad","listText":"Sad","text":"Sad","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/167262238","repostId":"1147979715","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":354,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":185826622,"gmtCreate":1623642150666,"gmtModify":1631886033372,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582588942531560","authorIdStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$PayPal(PYPL)$ like for like. BMW will also use a Qualcomm central computing chip and another set of Qualcomm chips to help the car communicate with cloud computing data centers.\nAn existing partnership between BMW and Intel's Mobileye self-driving technology unit would continue, BMW said, although plans to release an autonomous vehicle in 2021 have not materialised.\nA 7 Series full-size sedan featuring Intel's Level 3 autonomous driving technology, where cars can drive themselves under limited conditions but still require a driver, is due for release next year.\nThe two companies did not say how much of the BMW group's line-up the Qualcomm deal would cover.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1095,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":181946871,"gmtCreate":1623371935293,"gmtModify":1631885861952,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582588942531560","idStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Starbucks(SBUX)$ please like and comment.
Change is never easy. For many more, it was an exciting time, as the Internet was unlocking a new world of possibilities.\nBut… for investors… it was an opportunity.\nSpecifically, it was a once-in-a-decade opportunity to invest early in emerging titans of the internet industry. Like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN)… when it was a $438 million company in 1997…\nIt’s a $1.8 TRILLION company today – representing a whopping 365,000%-plus return.\nThat means a mere $1,000 investment in Amazon in 1997 would be worth more than $3.6 million today.\nNeed I say more?\nWhere there’s disruption, there’s opportunity – and the bigger the disruption, the bigger the opportunity.\nRight now, we are on the cusp of an enormous disruption as big as the internet… and that’s the shift toward electric vehicles.\nLong story short, the world’s transportation network is rapidly being electrified. This change is nothing new. Electric cars have been around for over a decade. So far, they’ve made a dent in the market. It looks like in 2021 that electric vehicles (EVs) will account for about 10% of all new car sales.\nThat’s a sizable number. But nothing huge considering, again, EVs have been around for a decade.\nAccording to our modeling, though, that 10% number is about to jump to 80% over the next two decades, implying jaw-dropping EV volume growth of ~2,000% over the next 20 years, as multiple game-changing trends converge to set the stage for EVs to finally takeover the world.\nSimply consider:\nThe demand is shifting. Today’s consumers are more aware than ever before of climate change, and are increasingly aligning their purchasing decisions to “go green.” As a result, over 60% of prospective car buyers in the U.S. today want an EV – and that number is going up every single year.\nThe laws are changing. Governments are also more aware than ever before of climate change, and are increasingly enacting legislature to promote adoption of “green” technologies. More than 200 cities and counties across the world have a “100% clean energy” target for 2030, 2040, or 2050 – while districts on the cutting edge of green tech (like California and New Jersey) are outright banning gas car sales after 2035.\nThe tech is improving. EVs are, and rapidly – so by 2030, EVs will be able to drive significantly farther than gas cars.\nThe costs are falling. EVs also used to be significantly limited by costs. That is, they have traditionally been far more expensive than gas cars. Again, though, this is no longer the case. Average EV prices have dropped 70% since 2010, and are now largely on par with gas cars. Economies of scale and technological improvements will unlock further cost reductions, and by 2030, EVs will be substantially cheaper than gas cars.\nThe supply is pivoting. For years, auto industry incumbents were asleep at the wheel when it came to the EV revolution. Not anymore. Every major automaker in the world – from Ford to GM to Bentley – is making all-out blitz into the EV category, in what will amount to an unprecedented surge in EV supply over the next decade.\nThe future couldn’t be any clearer.\nEVs are on the cusp of fundamentally disrupting the entire multi-trillion-dollar auto market.\nIt’s one of the biggest disruptions we have ever seen in the past 50 years – and, by extension, it’s one of the biggest investment opportunities we have ever seen in the past 50 years, too.\nThe right investments in the EV sector will score investors 10X, 20X, even 30X returns over the next few years.\nNote the emphasis above…\nThe right investments.\nThat’s the thing about disruptive megatrends. It’s not about just finding the right megatrend to invest in, but finding the right companies within that megatrend to invest in.\nSome might argue that the internet runs counter to this. But, although the internet did turn into a globally ubiquitous, multi-trillion-dollar industry, you couldn’t just point, click, and buy the first internet startup you saw — most internet startups in the 1990s went under. Remember Pets.com? Or eToys.com? Or Boo.com? What about Webvan?\nYeah, there’s a reason you don’t. All failures. Only a handful of 1990s internet startups actually turned into enormous long-term winners, like Amazon.\nThe same will be true about the electric vehicle space.\nIt will turn into a globally ubiquitous, multi-trillion-dollar industry by 2030. But there are a lot of EV startups today, and the reality is that most of them will fail.\nOnly a handful will succeed – but those that do, will generate Amazon-like returns.\nUnfortunately, most people don’t have time to spend countless hours researching arcane subjects that might lead to potentially profitable investments. That’s what we’re here for: to help you identify the right investments in the EV megatrend.\nIn our flagship investment research advisory Innovation Investor, we have scoured through the entire EV market, analyzed nearly every company in this space, and identified the best investment opportunities to capitalize on the enormous shift toward electric vehicles.\nSome of them are EV makers. Some of them are battery companies. Some of them are charging companies. The common denominator? They’re all disruptive innovators.\nWe’re talking companies that could be the next Tesla – or bigger.\nThe research is already finished. The buy calls have already been made. All that’s left are the profits to be had from investors like you who take action.\nOn the date of publication, Luke Lango did not have (either directly or indirectly) any positions in the securities mentioned in this article.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1403,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":899863737,"gmtCreate":1628174005829,"gmtModify":1631890337300,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582588942531560","idStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/899863737","repostId":"1197602353","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":530,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":156595637,"gmtCreate":1625229119329,"gmtModify":1631883954059,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582588942531560","idStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Best","listText":"Best","text":"Best","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/156595637","repostId":"2148725958","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":368,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":895228340,"gmtCreate":1628749429980,"gmtModify":1631890337294,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3582588942531560","idStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/895228340","repostId":"1184676761","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1184676761","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1628749147,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1184676761?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-08-12 14:19","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Elon Musk Fires At Tesla Rival Rivian: Recommend They Get First Plant Working Before Jumping On Second","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1184676761","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has a piece of advice for Amazon.com and Ford-backed electric vehicle mak","content":"
Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has a piece of advice for Amazon.com and Ford-backed electric vehicle maker Rivian- learn from your mistakes before rushing to build a second plant.
\n
What Happened: Rivian is reportedly investing at least $5 billion to build a second electric vehicle factory near Fort Worth, Texas.
With Hertz’s plan to buy backApollo’s preferred shares, the private-equity firm stood to notch a 70% annualized return on its role in the restructuring.
\n
New buybacks for common shareholders could add to returns for individual investors and other owners of Hertz shares. Buybacks boost stocks’ value because they remove shares from circulation, leaving remaining shareholders entitled to a larger portion of future profits.
\n
Hertzlisted on the Nasdaqearlier this month, debuting at $29 a share, but its stock has mostly edged lower since.
\n
In the past few days, concerns about thenew Omicron variantof Covid-19 have raised questions about the travel sector’s recovery, with countries adding new restrictions on some international travel to try to keep the strain at bay.
\n
Hertz’s buyback plans come alongside a splashy effort by the company to invest in its fleet of rental cars by addingmore electric vehicles.
