One arbitration addresses a dispute notice Basslink filed under its services agreement, while the other addresses a dispute notice Hydro Tasmania filed under the same services agreement.\nBasslink has advised that it is in discussions with the State of Tasmania and Hydro Tasmania about paying these costs as part of Basslink's refinancing of its existing debt, KIT's trustee-manager said.\nIt does not expect the additional arbitration provision of $23.8 million to have any financial impact on the trust's distribution per unit for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2021.\nThis is because there is no contractual recourse to KIT under Basslink's operations agreement, services agreement, or financing arrangements. That would still entail an 85% plunge.\n“AMC has made the best of its current ‘Meme Stock’ status by selling shares at a premium, and has raised significant capital doing so,” Wedbush analyst Alicia Reese said in a note.\n“Should AMC use its current cash balance to meaningfully reduce its debt and create earnings growth opportunities, we could envision a justified price target as high as $10,” Reese said.\nIn the past week alone, the movie theater chain sold more than 20 million shares in two separate offerings. If it breaks 6.4 and stays there for some time, they may move in to do something,” Mr. Sandhu said.</p>\n<p>On Tuesday in Hong Kong, the offshore yuan rallied about 0.2% to 6.3988 to the dollar, a level last hit in June 2018. The dollar weakened, with theICEU.S. Dollar Index declining nearly 0.3% to 89.61, its lowest since early January.</p>\n<p>China’s CSI 300 index, a gauge of the biggest shares listed in either Shanghai or Shenzhen, jumped 3.2%. Net foreign buying of mainland Chinese shares through Stock Connect, a trading link with Hong Kong, hit a record daily high of 21.7 billion yuan, or the equivalent of $3.4 billion.</p>\n<p>Tuesday’s yuan strength was also likely due in part to the coming month-end, before which exporters normally sell earnings in foreign currency to buy yuan, said Khoon Goh, head of Asia research atAustralia and New Zealand Banking GroupLtd.in Singapore.</p>\n<p>The central bank is eager to promote the idea that the currency won’t be volatile, but that it also won’t be a one-way bet for investors. On Sunday, a senior central-bank official said the yuan will remain “basically stable.” Liu Guoqiang, a deputy governor, said fluctuations in either direction will become the norm, with the exchange rate depending on supply and demand, and changes in global financial markets.</p>\n<p>Mr. Liu also said the current exchange-rate system was suitable for China. A researcher at the central bank recently called for China to stop controlling the rate to promote greater international use of the yuan. The currency has also gained amid abroader bout of dollar weakness.</p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the offshore yuan strengthened below 6.4 per dollar, as Chinese stocks jumped thanks partly to a surge in foreign buying.</p>\n<p>Beijing would want to see slower yuan appreciationto support the economy, which is still fairly dependent on selling goods abroad, said Alvin Tan, head of Asia foreign-exchange strategy at RBC Capital Markets. While Chinese exports have surged since last year,a rallying yuan pressures exportersby making their goods more expensive when priced in dollars.</p>\n<p>Mr. Tan said the People’s Bank of China had been “leaning against the strength” of the currency by setting weaker-than-expected reference rates for onshore yuan trading for the past month.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a7ef4ee3cc184ea84391adcdbe43b304\" tg-width=\"321\" tg-height=\"428\">The central bank fixes a daily midpoint for the onshore yuan, and only allows trading up to 2 percentage points above or below this level. The dollar weakened, with theICEU.S. Dollar Index declining nearly 0.3% to 89.61, its lowest since early January.</p>\n<p>China’s CSI 300 index, a gauge of the biggest shares listed in either Shanghai or Shenzhen, jumped 3.2%. Net foreign buying of mainland Chinese shares through Stock Connect, a trading link with Hong Kong, hit a record daily high of 21.7 billion yuan, or the equivalent of $3.4 billion.</p>\n<p>Tuesday’s yuan strength was also likely due in part to the coming month-end, before which exporters normally sell earnings in foreign currency to buy yuan, said Khoon Goh, head of Asia research atAustralia and New Zealand Banking GroupLtd.in Singapore.</p>\n<p>The central bank is eager to promote the idea that the currency won’t be volatile, but that it also won’t be a one-way bet for investors. On Sunday, a senior central-bank official said the yuan will remain “basically stable.” Liu Guoqiang, a deputy governor, said fluctuations in either direction will become the norm, with the exchange rate depending on supply and demand, and changes in global financial markets.</p>\n<p>Mr. Liu also said the current exchange-rate system was suitable for China. A researcher at the central bank recently called for China to stop controlling the rate to promote greater international use of the yuan. The currency has also gained amid abroader bout of dollar weakness.\nOn Tuesday, the offshore yuan strengthened below 6.4 per dollar, as Chinese stocks jumped thanks partly to a surge in foreign buying.\nBeijing would want to see slower yuan appreciationto support the economy, which is still fairly dependent on selling goods abroad, said Alvin Tan, head of Asia foreign-exchange strategy at RBC Capital Markets. However, the company also said it produced none of its higher-end Model S sedans or Model X SUVs for the period ending March. It delivered2,020 older Model S sedans and Model X SUVs from inventory.</p><p>On Monday’s earnings call, Musk said the new version of the company’s Model S sedans will finally be delivered to customers starting in May 2021, with Model X deliveries to begin in the third quarter of the year. Musk and CFO Zachary Kirkhorn both said supply chain issues are likely to remain a challenge for Tesla this year.</p><p>In January 2021 (during a fourth-quarter 2020 earnings update) Musk had said that the Model S Plaid was already in production would be delivered starting in February 2021. But he admitted on Monday, “There were more challenges than expected,” in producing the refreshed version of these vehicles. He did not elaborate.</p><p>Tesla is now aiming to produce 2,000 Model S and X vehicles per week later this year.</p><p>The company said Monday it expects more than 50% vehicle delivery growth in 2021 overall, which implies minimum deliveries around 750,000 vehicles this year.</p><p>The fact Tesla grew vehicle unit sales by more than 100% year over year but grew service centers by only 28% and its mobile service fleet by only 22% explains why some Tesla customers face frustratingly long wait times for repairs.
